Abstract

This article reflects on the relationship between tourism and literature, based on the life and work of E?a de Queiroz and its connection with the Casa de Tormes, in Bai?o. It is intended, in this way, to reflect on the tourist potential of places associated with the life and/or work of writers and how they can contribute to the valorization of the territories where they belong. The methodology used was based on a case study-Casa de Tormes/E?a de Queiroz Foundation-and includes an interview with the Executive Director of EQF. The results indicate that valuing this type of cultural space is an asset in boosting tourism in rural areas, with a lower population density, as is the case in the municipality of Bai?o.
