Abstract
The authors regret < to have wrongfully estimated the positive predictive value of the 190,000 CK19 mRNA copies/µL criterion from the data provided by the authors of the study ‘Total Tumor load assessed by one-step nucleic acid amplification assay as an intraoperative predictor for non-sentinel lymph node metastasis in breast cancer’. Therefore, where it reads in the discussion “From the data provided by the authors, we estimate a PPV of just 32,0%. This new TTL cut-off had inferior specificity and PPV when compared to the 260,000 CK19 mRNA copies/µL criterion.” it should read “From the data provided by the authors, we estimate a PPV of 50,0%. This new TTL cut-off had inferior specificity and similar PPV when compared to the 260,000 CK19 mRNA copies/µL criterion.">.
